Leaking Crack, Joint or Basement Wall

Active leaking cracks and joints in concrete are best sealed using polyurethane injection resin, which reacts with water to expand and seal the crack from the inside without breaking out the structure.

Can I seal a crack that's still leaking or underwater? Yes. Hydrophilic polyurethane resins are designed to react with water and will foam and seal in wet or fully submerged conditions.

What's the difference between a rigid and a flexible repair? Rigid epoxy suits dead, non-moving cracks needing structural load transfer. Flexible polyurethane suits active or moving cracks and joints, since it can stretch with the structure without cracking again.

How long does an injection repair take to cure? Most polyurethane injection resins cure within 30–60 minutes, though full depth curing can continue for longer — check the product's technical data sheet for exact times.

Settling Ground, Voids Beneath a Slab, or an Unlevel Floor

Settling slabs, uneven floors and voids beneath concrete are typically fixed with expanding polyurethane injection, which fills the void and lifts the slab back to level without full replacement.

Slabs that have dropped, driveways that have settled, or floors with voids underneath usually point to soil movement or compaction issues below the surface. Can this be used to fix a settling house foundation? Yes, expanding polyurethane injection is commonly used for residential foundation lifting and stabilisation as well as commercial and industrial slabs.

How quickly can a lifted slab be used again? Polyurethane systems cure and gain load-bearing strength quickly, often allowing the area to be back in service within hours, not days.

Can epoxy be injected into a wet or submerged crack? Yes— Some specialist epoxies can cure and work under water. For wet or submerged cracks that are moving, a polyurethane resin is the right choice instead.

How fast can epoxy repairs be put back into service? Fast-curing epoxy pastes can cure in as little as 2 hours at 25°C, allowing same-day injection and return to service on tight schedules.

Will a standard epoxy work on a crack that's still moving? No rigid epoxy is for dormant, non-moving cracks. Injecting epoxy into an active crack risks re-cracking beside the repair. The alternative is to use a flexible epoxy.

Concrete exposed to water, weather or heavy wear is protected using waterproofing admixtures and surface treatments that reduce moisture penetration from within and on the surface

What's the difference between an integral admixture and a surface treatment? An integral admixture is added during mixing and waterproofs the concrete from within. A surface treatment is applied afterward and protects the exposed face, many projects use both together.

Can these products be used on existing concrete, not just new pours? Yes surface-applied densifiers and water repellents are designed for existing concrete, while integral admixtures are for new pours.
